Basswood is growing in popularity for timber shutters thanks to its strength, its non-porous composition and its resistance to moisture. Coming from the Tilia family, basswood has a fine texture and uniform finish but is also durable and long-lasting.

Contemporary Look Paulownia

Paulownia is a light weight timber with a very tight grain. Like Basswood the timber can be finished smooth stained or painted, but Paulownia can also be finished in the rustic version with a visible grain and a stain wash.
