By reducing heat loss through windows you can save money on your winter heating bills. Appropriate window protection – like well-fitted, blockout curtains and a pelmet – creates an insulating layer of still air on the inside of the glass.
A well-fitted curtain makes a huge difference to heat loss, as this diagram shows. A poorly-fitted curtain allows heat loss to occur, while the well fitted curtain combined with a pelmet significantly reduces heat loss.
